About

'Be a cause, not just a business, Have a higher mission.'

Philip Kotler

Our Mission is to build and conserve an ecosystem whilst improving and empowering, lives and livelihoods. Through Makini, our attempt is to epitomise quality and professionalism in all we do. And by that, delight guests and inculcate a quality-driven mindset in our service. This, we hope, will trickle to the communities and help them to in turn, live with purpose and curiosity, enabling a self-sustainability mindset.

Makini Bushcamp was conceptualised by Chamith Kumarage, a passionate individual keen to engage with the natural world on multiple levels. After having successfully engaged in catering to nature enthusiasts, through Nature Hawks, a professional tour guide outfit, Chamith embarked on Makini, with the intent to encapsulate and offer a Southern experience like no other to the yearning guest.
